I want this as a book cover

I want this for a book cover someday. Too bad the composition isn't reversed, so that there could be a wraparound with four people on the front, the Victrola on the spine, and the standing woman on the back.

Richard Jackson on translation

Rick Jackson is my advisor this semester. I was looking for something else when I found this article.

I'm amused by the photo, which would seem to have a story behind it. (I hope to find out the story if I attend the summer residency in Slovenia next year.)

We've just talked about my doing some translations this semester, so the article should be useful.

Stalked by a sparrow at the Sunwheel

On my way to my first residency at Vermont College of Fine Arts, I stopped in Amherst, Massachusetts, and ended up at the Sunwheel by accident.

I made this very rough video in an effort to capture the song of the bird that flitted from stone to ground and stone again. Someone says it's a song sparrow. I don't know birds.
